About The Position

To assist the principal, teachers and teacher aides in organizing and maintaining appropriate lunchroom activities and behavior. To provide the opportunity for teachers to have a duty free lunch.

Responsibilities

Assists students from classroom to the cafeteria and back to the classroom.
Assists students when obtaining food, and sees that students are seated at the designated table.
Assists students with the use of utensils.
Assists students to develop and observe proper dining habits and manners.
Assists with the implementation of the feeding therapy program under the direction of the therapist.
Assists with setting up food, milk and utensils with those students requiring help.
Assists in the orderly disposal of food wastes, trays and utensils.
Supervises student behavior in the cafeteria.
Supervises students during recess time whether inside or outside the building.
Ensures safety rules both in the cafeteria and on the playground.
Performs any other related duties as assigned by the principal.
