About The Position

Coordinate and direct the activities of the hourly production employees to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining safety and quality. Inspect products to verify production specifications are met. Train and supervise production personnel. Perform other duties as assigned. The hourly rate for this position is $38.17. Leadership Provide information and training for the crew on all equipment and processes in area of responsibility. Maintain personnel records and execute performance evaluations on employees. Assess the needs of the crew and implement developmental processes (e.g., coaching, counseling, taking corrective action, mentoring, etc.) to continuously improve their performance. Demonstrate and create a culture of continuous improvement. Production & Quality Assign tasks and follow up with crew when necessary to ensure that work is completed on schedule. Identify and correct any potential problems (troubleshooting) and take appropriate action necessary to prevent serious equipment failure. Plan effective use of available resources and assist in the development of processes, design, and operation improvements. Identify possible cost savings in all areas of operation. Assure quality of production. Safety & Environmental Instruct and lead crew in safe work practices in pursuit of zero injuries. Provide information and training on OSHA rules and regulations and additional site procedures. Verify that all safety record keeping is done in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and kept work environment conducive to safe work habits and encourage employee accountability and involvement. Working Conditions/Essential Physical Functions Industrial environment subject to extreme heat and cold. Noisy, dusty, and working around moving equipment. Climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling. Occasionally lifting 20 pounds.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of five years of industry experience
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must have good organizational and computer skills
  • Must be self-motivated and energetic

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related preferred
