About The Position

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking skilled Lull/ Forklift Operators to join our manufacturing shop. Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, or shelves, ensuring proper placement and securing of loads to prevent damage or accidents. Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting pre-operational checks on the lull/forklift. Inspect lull/forklift and related equipment for any defects or malfunctions before each use and report any issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate activities, communicate any issues or concerns, and ensure timely delivery of materials to designated areas. Participate in training programs to improve skills and knowledge related to lull/forklift operation, safety procedures, and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management to support the overall goals and objectives of the company. Education Requirements/Qualifications: Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required Minimum of a high school education or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience operating forklifts with a 10,000lb+ lifting capacity, specifically for long and heavy steel products. Valid forklift operator certification or license. Proven experience as a forklift driver in a manufacturing or construction environment. Strong understanding of forklift operation and safety procedures. Ability to operate a lull/forklift safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in load handling and placement. Job Requirements/Special Skills: Ability to work independently and on a team Strong verbal communication skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
