About The Position

Under supervision of the Director of SCC Operations & RAC Shop, this position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service. Typical schedules are Monday – Friday, with weekends required as needed. The Lube Truck Driver operates heavy-duty trucks and is responsible for traveling to various job sites to service heavy equipment to include changing oil filters, lube and grease equipment, and checking all fluids to ensure proper maintenance. Must have a valid Class A or B CDL license to include Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Incumbent is expected to have excellent attendance and communication skills, possess the ability to build lasting business relationships, and exhibit professionalism.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid CDL: Class A or Class B with minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience
  • Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance of duty on secured locations. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of an offer.
  • Must know how to drive a standard transmission.

Responsibilities

  • Change oil filters, lube and grease, check fluids in all diesel heavy equipment on various job sites
  • Operate vehicle in accordance with Royal American Construction / Southern Coastal Containers company policies, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws
  • Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues to the Director of SCC Operations & RAC Shop or Shop Foreman
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area (truck and trailer)
  • Immediately report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to the Director of SCC Operations & RAC Shop or Shop Foreman
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled/ required training programs, briefings, and meetings
  • Notify the Director of SCC Operations & RAC Shop or Shop Foreman of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage
