About The Position

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Lube Technician to join our maintenance team at Logistec. The Lube Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper lubrication, maintenance, and inspection of heavy equipment and machinery to keep operations running smoothly. This role is critical in supporting the efficiency and longevity of port equipment.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude
Ability to communicate with co-workers and management.
Ability and willingness to learn and advance mechanical skills.
Thorough understanding of machines and tools being used.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability and willingness to wear safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, face shields, and additional personal protective equipment.
Posses or have the ability to get a TWIC card.
Valid driver’s license.
At least six months of related experience with heavy machinery, whether acquired in-company or elsewhere, highly preferred.
Prolonged periods standing, crouching, bending, climbing, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling in all weather conditions in order to perform job.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time

Responsibilities

Grease bearings, drive shafts and pivot points on heavy equipment and conveyors.
Identify and report potential hazards, damage and improperly performing equipment.
Safely utilize heavy equipment such as loader, manlift and lull during the course of your shift.
Fill out daily service reports and inspection checklists.
Change gear, transmission and engine oil and filters.
Utilize a pressure washer.
Complies with applicable federal, state, and company laws, regulations, and guidelines regarding health, safety, and environmental protection.
Adheres to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and lockout/tagout procedures.
Assists welder/mechanic as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Maintain your work area and company equipment in a net and orderly fashion.
