About The Position

Transdev in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced Lube Technician to bolster our team. This position will perform routine and some non-routine maintenance work on vehicles which adheres to Transdev standards. As a Lube Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our diesel-powered assets. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred)
  • Beginner mechanical aptitude and 1 year of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experience
  • Adhere to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standards
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
  • Possess adequate mechanic tool inventory to complete all assigned duties and maintained in a clean and safe manner
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers by performing limited repairs with moderate supervision on basic maintenance such as replacement of light bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, check fluid levels, change fluids and filters and lubricate components.
  • Perform minor mechanical repairs under moderate supervision.
  • Maintain records of all maintenance work completed on vehicles including parts and supplies used. Ensure that work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain parts usage records and order repair parts from designated suppliers
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM’s), safety maintenance inspections and annual maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals of time and usage
  • Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken
  • Evaluates completed work prior to release and seeks approval where required
  • Adhere to Transdev standards, policies and procedures
  • Moves vehicles safely between job and work area
  • Repair and maintain all shop equipment
  • Cleans vehicles as requested or required
  • Other responsibility as requested or required
