About The Position

ELCO Chevrolet Cadillac has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Lubrication Technician to work in our Service Department located in Ballwin, MO. The Lube Technician replaces the oil/air filter, lubricates moving parts, and performs routine maintenance on tires and batteries. Our Service Helpers are a part of the Machinist union and have weekly pay and full benefits offered combined with a professional work environment. All candidates must have at least 3 months of recent oil change experience at a retail automotive business and their own complete set of tools (including impact tool).

Requirements

Must have at least 3 months of recent oil change experience at a retail automotive business.
Must have a current Missouri State Inspection and Emissions license.
Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years.
No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record within the last 3 years (DUI/DWI).
Must be willing to take a preemployment drug screening test.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
Must have your own complete set of tools, including an impact tool.
Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities

Performs work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Sells lubrication, safety inspection, and other related services.
Drains oil from crankcase and refills with required amount of oil.
Replaces oil and air filters.
Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replaces or replenishes as necessary.
Performs Missouri State inspection and emissions tests.
Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants.
Performs maintenance and replaces vehicle tires and batteries.
Performs wheel rotations and balancing.
Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
Documents all work performed on the repair order.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Other duties as assigned.
