About The Position

Enstructure New Haven is a full-service deep-water marine terminal operator and service provider. Strategically located in the Port of New Haven, our terminal provides turnkey, vertically integrated logistics services for dry bulk, liquid bulk, and breakbulk products. With our state-of-the-art infrastructure, we support ship, barge, truck, and rail capabilities, making us one of the most efficient and economical terminal operators on the East Coast. Terminal History: In 2018 Enstructure acquired Gateway Terminal, a bulk terminals and logistics company. This acquisition expanded the Enstructure’s capabilities and footprint, comprised of 22 terminals strategically located near major population hubs along the East Coast, Gulf Coast, and Inland River system. Enstructure provides full-service and reliable logistics solutions to some of the world’s largest companies in the energy, agriculture, food, manufacturing, construction, and public safety sectors. Job Overview: Gateway is seeking a skilled Lube Technician/Mechanic to join our team. This role involves performing high-quality repair and maintenance of machinery and components. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and efficiently, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.

Requirements

  • Physical Ability: Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling 50+ pounds, climbing heavy equipment safely, bending, kneeling, and working with arms raised for prolonged periods.
  • Technical Skills: Technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Strong understanding of equipment operations and mechanical functions.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Quality Repairs: Ability to perform quality, efficient repairs within acceptable time standards.
  • Compliance: Follow all instructions from the manager/supervisor and working foreman.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • TWIC Card: TWIC card or the ability to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Certification: Technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs.
  • CDL/HAZ Endorsement: Possession of a CDL/HAZ endorsement is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Equipment Reconditioning and Repair: Perform reconditioning and repair of all assigned equipment components and systems.
  • Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and care for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Professional Communication: Communicate professionally with team members and supervisors.
  • Diagnostic Inspections: Conduct diagnostic inspections as directed.
  • Recondition and repair equipment and components.
  • Follow instructions from the manager/supervisor and working foreman.
  • Perform repairs safely and effectively.
  • Ensure timely and efficient completion of all repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Care for company shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Clean and return all tools and special equipment used in repairs.
  • Maintain and provide all basic hand and diagnostic tools as required.
  • Communicate respectfully and honestly with co-workers, promoting a positive company image.
  • Adhere to the guidelines in the “Gateway Terminal Employee Handbook” for all communications.
