The Heavy Equipment Lube Service Technician performs mobile on-site daily fueling and lube services, operational checks, and minor preventive maintenance services on a variety of heavy construction equipment. This role involves traveling to worksites for scheduled fueling and lubrication services on all field equipment and construction machinery. The technician will gather data from machines, such as Hour Meter Readings, Fuel Quantity Pumped, Oil Products added, and Quantity of Waste Oils or Coolant disposed. The technician is responsible for completing preventative maintenance work orders on a wide variety of heavy equipment including Ag Tractors, Backhoes, Bull dozers, Compaction Equipment, Cranes, Dump Trucks, Excavators, Lowboy Tractors, Scrapers, Skidsteers, Telehandlers/Reach Fork-lifts, and Wheel loaders. They will inspect equipment and document problems for planning future repair and lubrication work, keeping accurate records and inputting data into the equipment database for establishing oil change intervals. The technician will assist Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanics with repair work as needed and develop daily Job Hazard Analysis while following Flatiron Construction Corp. safety policies and procedures. Additionally, the technician will maintain accurate lube truck, equipment inspections, and service logs in accordance with US DOT requirements, comply with all applicable US DOT rules and regulations, and adhere to environmental laws regarding recycling and disposal of construction waste materials. The role requires the ability to operate a Lube truck and drive on and off-road between project sites, manage time effectively, work independently, and communicate professionally with all project personnel, suppliers, and subcontractors. A willingness to teach, train, and develop Flatiron's mechanics helper and/or summer interns is also essential. This position requires a current Class B CDL Commercial Driver's License with Tanker/Hazmat Endorsement and a safe driving record. A minimum of 12 months of maintenance experience is required, with experience as a heavy equipment Lube Service Tech preferred. The technician must be able to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required to support all project requirements.
