About The Position

An Express Technician at Dimmitt Chevrolet is a full time position in Clearwater, Florida. The Express Technician is the beginning of a career in the Automotive Repair Industry. While performing basic services on cars and light trucks such as oil changes, tire rotations, tire replacement and filter replacement we will be enrolling you in the General Motors Technician training path where you can begin taking the steps necessary to becoming a certified Technician. We currently has 4 Technicians working as Certified techs that started in this same position. Requirements

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as changing oil, tires, batteries, and other minor repairs as needed
Diagnose and repair vehicles quickly and accurately
Test drive vehicles to ensure proper working condition of the repaired vehicle
Explain to customers the repair process and expected outcome.
Perform other duties as assigned
