Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Responsibilities
- Is able to efficiently perform various aspects of the classification.
- Works with close supervision and direction on new or unique job assignments.
- Issues labeled containers to operations for the collection of process waste
- Moves waste from point(s) of generation to the waste storage area
- Ensure containers meet all state & federal requirements (USEPA, DOT)
- Ensure facility is maintained in a compliant manner, including aisle space, housekeeping, markings/signage, etc.
- Inspects the 5 waste storage areas in Rockford (including hazardous waste, used oil, universal waste and non-hazardous State /Federal -regulated waste)
- Maintain and operate aerosol can puncturing
- Daily hazardous waste tank inspection
- Loads waste onto trucks for transport to offsite Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs).
