About The Position

The Long Term Recovery Grants Analyst position will be responsible for management of state disaster recovery grant programs, to include assisting with: grant applications, recipient/sub-recipient awards, processing cost reports/requests for reimbursement, monitoring recipients/sub-recipients, grant reporting, grant closeout, grant data entry, and maintaining grant records. This includes, but is not limited to, managing a portfolio of assigned subrecipients/project leads, developing state guidance to supplement state guidance, facilitating applications from state and local government entities and non-profit organizations, reviewing and processing various grant documents, and other duties in compliance with applicable state policies and federal guidance/regulations. About NCEM Recovery Section: The Recovery Section manages the FEMA Public Assistance Program, FEMA Individual Assistance Program, as well as state-funded Public Assistance, Individual Assistance and Long-Term Recovery grant programs, including the North Carolina Disaster Case Management (NC-DCM) Program. The section is primarily based at 200 Park Offices Drive in Durham County but will deploy staff statewide as needed to support local recovery from state and federally declared disasters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in the program related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of emergency and/or disaster management operations at the recovery stage.
  • Experience in grants management and/or grants administration.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and/or maintain effective working relationships.
