About The Position

The position involves sourcing new customers to find refrigerated LTL (Less Than Truckload) business. The role requires following up on all inbound and outbound leads, whether through email, calls, or face-to-face interactions. The candidate must understand customer needs and requirements to effectively match them with the company's transportation and warehousing operations, ensuring utilization and profitability.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; required
  • Must have LTL sales experience, preferably with a book of business.
  • Must have knowledge of warehouse and truckload operations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products and Windows.
  • Ability to learn and use proprietary software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Management, or a relatable field; preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying prospective customers by using business directories, following leads, etc.
  • Cold calling potential clients and creating recurring business.
  • Answering customers' questions about transportation services, prices, availability, and credit terms.
  • Recommending services to customers based on their needs and interests.
  • Negotiating and preparing sales contracts and payment terms.
  • Consulting with clients after sales or contract signings to provide ongoing support and resolve problems.
  • Onboarding new customers with Billing/Operations/Accounts Receivable.
  • Monitoring market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Maintaining the CRM.
