This position will assist the Bureau of Park and Recreation Management in a variety of duties related to the management of the state emergency response program which includes partnerships with the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA) and the Wisconsin Emergency Management Association (WEM). Duties will include program communication, project management, grant management, providing documentation for project status, and producing quarterly reports. This position will assist with a variety of duties for DNR emergency response on department lands and will provide assistance to the Bureaus of Wildlife and Fisheries, the Forestry Division, and any other divisions impacted by declared federal disasters. Work will be performed under the general supervision of the Recreation Partnerships Section Chief within the Bureau of Parks and Recreation. Position will perform multifaceted statewide work across multiple programs requiring the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of statewide initiatives related to disaster response. This position will also coordinate projects and work with other state and federal agencies. This work will be highly complex and sensitive and nature and will involve a specific expertise in working with other state and federal agencies. Some out of town travel will be required. Overnight travel may be occasionally required.
