Under the supervision of the Regional Director or designee, acts as a liaison for Long Term Care facility staff, ombudsman staff, and survey and investigation team members to resolve issues and improve performance in Long Term Care facilities. The Facility Liaison ensures that issues and concerns of facility staff and surveyors are clearly articulated and understood. The Facility Liaison coordinates with the Quality Monitoring Program staff and Joint Training staff pertaining to their mission needs. This position meets regularly with providers to discuss issues and concerns as they pertain to regulations and survey practices. The Facility Liaison maintains current knowledge regarding regulations governing regulatory services; participates in non-home region surveys and investigations once per year and as needed. This position keeps current on nursing, dietary, social services, and pharmacy service procedures; prepares reports and/or training according to established protocols, and completes other assignments as directed by the Regional Director.
