About The Position

Hendricks Community Hospital Association is seeking a qualified individual to join our team! Position Highlights The LTC Hospitality Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers with general office functions, word processing, correspondence, mailings, data entry, report development, and database maintenance. Full-time position- Day shift- Benefit eligible Starting wage- $23.50

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED required, advanced education preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Trained Medication Aide (TMA) in the state of MN required (may consider someone not yet trained but willing to enroll in a future class session).
  • Experience and competence with Microsoft Office and other computer programs.
  • Must have a positive attitude, demonstrate problem solving ability, and be able to communicate in a positive manner with all staff, residents, family members, and the public.
  • Must have ability to demonstrate dependability, tact, maturity, multi-tasking ability, cooperation and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Must be energetic and ambitious with self-motivation to see projects through to completion in an accurate and timely manner with little supervision.
  • Must be able to make appropriate judgments as they relate to staffing and general office functions.
  • Excellent customer service skills along with good written and oral communication skills required.
  • Flexibility to handle changing situations and emergency needs.
  • Moderate physical work as required with a general office position as well as moderate to heavy physical work requirements when working in a CNA capacity.
  • Near visual acuity for reading and preparing reports, forms, policies etc.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain emotional stability under stress.
  • Requires frequent talking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess knowledge of medical terminology and/or general medical background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Functions as the nursing home switchboard operator receiving, transferring and taking messages.
  • Functions as receptionist to greet all visitors, residents, staff, and other departments via in person and on the phone.
  • Functions to assist the public with information and refers to other departments as appropriate.
  • Maintains resident charts as needed by thinning paperwork and collecting and organizing closed charts.
  • Assists with end of the month paperwork including CNA charting, nurse charting, and checking MAR with licensed nurse.
  • Assists Nurse Managers with medication ordering.
  • Assists nursing home staff with ordering business office supplies.
  • Maintains chart order and filing documents in medical record.
  • Assists social services when requested with arranging medical appointments and transportation needs.
  • Assists charge nurse with acquiring paperwork for any medical appointments.
  • Assists floor staff with resident transportation to in-house appointments.
  • Provide administrative support for leadership team.
  • Ability to work as a CNA or TMA when needed and has ability to fulfill all CNA job duties as required.
  • Other duties assigned by the DON-LTC.
