About The Position

LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY, PAUL M. HEBERT LAW CENTER seeks to hire an adjunct faculty member for the Bankruptcy Law Research course for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. This is an experiential course in which students develop legal research skills while resolving consumer and commercial bankruptcy law research questions in simulated practice scenarios. Through a series of exercises with faculty feedback, students develop their knowledge of, and skill in using, bankruptcy law research sources, methods, and strategies. This course covers how to research the statutory foundation of bankruptcy, as well as bankruptcy rules, United States bankruptcy courts, caselaw, forms, and docket searching.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
