LSIT Land Surveyor
About The Position
MacKay Sposito is seeking a full-time Land Surveyor in Training - LSIT to join our expanding Land Surveying team in Roseville, CA. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of surveying projects while working alongside experienced professionals who are invested in your development and path toward licensure. In this role, you will contribute to a wide range of surveying projects from boundary and topographic work to construction staking and mapping, building a strong technical foundation and expanding your field and office skillsets. Requirements
- LSIT certification required (Fundamentals of Surveying exam passed)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Familiarity with GIS software
- Understanding of survey principles, methods, and procedures
- Ability to collaborate with the survey team, engineers and project managers
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Trimble Business Center
- Previous field surveying experience
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Comfort with varied field conditions and travel across project sites.
- Interest in pursuing Professional Land Surveyor PLS licensure.
Responsibilities
- Collect and process survey data using GPS, scanners, and total stations to produce accurate measurements
- Create boundary, topographic and construction survey drawings and maps
- Assist survey crew with field layout and staking for construction and boundary projects
- Prepare survey reports and other deliverables for clients and internal teams
- Ensure QA/QC and adherence to industry standards and project specifications
- Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to support successful project completion
