About The Position

You will be a Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager in the Orlando Software Engineering Department. This role is responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, and hardware/software integration and verification. The individual will develop embedded software in C++ and Linux operating system in an Agile environment using JIRA, Git and Confluence. The individual will need to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development lifecycle. What You Will Be Doing As the Embedded Software Engineering Associate Manager you will lead the Simulation Framework effort, driving end‑to‑end software delivery for embedded C++/Linux applications in an Agile environment. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Maintain and evolve simulation software libraries that model tactical components and operational environments. Define, design, code, test, integrate, and verify embedded simulation software using JIRA, Git, and Confluence. Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team, providing technical coaching, career development, and performance feedback. Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities while ensuring adherence to standards, processes, and tools. Lead recruitment, training, salary planning, and competency development; act as the technical conscience for the program. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related sciences
  • Experience in cybersecurity / Anti Tamper principles
  • Implementation and Verification & Validation testing
  • Familiarity with C++
  • Experience with software design
  • Must be a US citizen - this position requires a DoD Secret security clearance prior to start
