About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at AdventHealth Medical Group is responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the direction of the Practice Manager/Director. This role involves assisting with patient education, supporting providers during examinations, and managing patient calls, including prescription refills. The LPN will document patient information in the electronic health record and ensure appropriate customer service throughout all interactions.

Requirements

• Kansas LPN License
• Associate's Degree or Graduate of a Technical School
• BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients under the direction of the Practice Manager/Director.
• Assist providers during the treatment and examination of patients.
• Administer procedures and treatments as directed by the provider.
• Handle the triage of patient calls, including prescription refills according to protocols.
• Document patient vitals and other pertinent information in the electronic health record (EMR).
• Order and keep inventory of pertinent medical supplies, including pharmaceuticals.
• Give immunizations and ensure appropriate documentation of patient information on intake.
