About The Position

The position involves directing the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the long-term care facility. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with written policies and procedures, reviewing department manuals, and making recommendations for revisions. The role requires participation in quality assurance programs, facility surveys, and the development of resident discharge plans. Administrative duties include completing medical forms, maintaining reports, and ensuring confidentiality of resident information. The position also involves charting and documentation, drug administration, personnel functions, nursing care, staff development, safety and sanitation, equipment and supply management, care plan assessments, and budget planning. The work environment is dynamic, involving interaction with residents, families, and various departments.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions and percentages.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of residents.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities
