About The Position

Toledo Clinic's Dermatology Department is seeking a full-time LPN to work in their Defiance office location. This position will be scheduled Monday-Thursday from 7:30-4:30. No Fridays, weekends, or late evenings. General Summary: Assist provider(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for provider(s), and performs various clerical duties. The position is best suited for an energetic and highly motivated employee that is capable of multi-tasking.

Licensed Nursing Degree with Current State Licensure
OH and MI Licensure
First Assist Certification

Responsibilities

Assist provider(s) with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
Escorting patients to exam room.
Preparing exam rooms.
Preparing patient for providers (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
Administering injections.
At the request of the provider, calling in prescription refills.
Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
Traveling between practice offices to cover staffing needs.
Other duties as assigned.
