Part-Time Night Shift LPN
About The Position
Avalon Wellness and Recovery Center is a dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility committed to providing exceptional care and support to individuals on their journey to recovery. Our mission is to deliver comprehensive treatment services that foster hope, healing, and resilience. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated night shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at our drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals recover from substance abuse and addiction. This job would require you to work night shifts from 7pm-7am, two 12 hour shifts a week.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kansas
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism
- Knowledge of addiction treatment protocols and strategies
- BLS certification required
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in drug and alcohol rehabilitation or substance abuse treatment is preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and support to patients undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation
- Assess patient's physical and emotional well-being, monitor vital signs and symptoms, and administer medications as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery, and coping strategies
- Support patients through detoxification and withdrawal process
- Monitor and manage patient's progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation
