About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Atoka County Medical Center is responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. The LPN will ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients while adhering to established medical protocols and procedures.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
Current LPN license in the state of practice.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or clinic.
Experience in patient care and clinical procedures.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Ability to perform routine nursing tasks and procedures with precision and care.
Proficient in administering medications and monitoring patient responses.
Capability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
Provide basic patient care, including wound care, dressing changes, and personal hygiene assistance.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient care is delivered effectively and efficiently.
Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
Educate patients and their families on healthcare plans and discharge instructions.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
