Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience in medical/surgical, rehab, or geriatrics nursing, or significant medical/surgical clinical experience during schooling is preferred.
  • Current Maryland LPN License
  • Current CPR Certification

Responsibilities

  • Participates in care planning process and updates for change in condition.
  • Completes MAR & treatment record, assuring drug monitoring indicators are identified.
  • Assures required lab values are obtained for drug monitoring as recommended by RX.
  • Obtains physicians' orders on new residents and completes physicians' order sheet and assessments
  • Makes daily rounds to be aware of residents' conditions and environment.
  • Informs primary care physician of significant changes.
