Responsible for providing the nursing care delivered to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients in designated unit in accordance with all standards governing our facility. Maintains overall departmental operations in accordance with the facilities mission and philosophy. Participates and maintains performance improvement activities to assure highest standards of care. QualificationsMINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education: Graduation from an accredited Practical nursing Program Current licensure by State Board of Nursing BCLS & ACLS Certification Experience: preferably 3-6 months experience of med / surg or general experience PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the work day, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned. External and internal applicants who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential job functions either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case by case basis. Position has Occupational expected exposure to blood borne pathogens. Class 1: job in which all employees have occupational exposure.
