About The Position

YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL… Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift. Administer direct care as necessary. Give and receive shift reports. Round twice a shift to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment. Keep physicians and families aware of changes in residents’ conditions. Assist in developing comprehensive care plans. Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident. Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered. Respond to the resident emergency call system. Interface with other disciplines to ensure continuity of care and services. Accompany physicians when making rounds. Encourage restorative care to obtain maximum resident independence.

Requirements

  • Are a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an LPN with a current license in Florida.
  • Have basic computer proficiency.
  • Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
  • Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Have at least 6 months of experience in geriatric nursing (a plus).
  • Have supervisory experience (a plus).
