About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will: Follow the plan of care as directed by the Registered Nurse. Communicate information to the appropriate places. Perform safe patient care adhering to policies and procedures of Springfield Hospital. Take responsibility for maintaining and or increasing knowledge base in area of practice.
Requirements
- Graduate from a practical nursing education program from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Vermont
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- De-escalation training and certification (within 3 months of hire)
- One (1) year medical/surgical experience (preferred)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year medical/surgical experience (preferred)
