GENERAL PURPOSE: In an outpatient setting, remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system. Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care. Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD. Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication. FT position, Monday-Friday days, 8 hour shifts. Opportunity to work in a fast paced neurology outpatient department, with a high patient throughput. Able to multi task and enjoy direct patient care, exposure to electronic documentation required. Must be flexible, organized and a team player as well as be able to work independently. Position will entail working doing medication administration on occasion. Needs to work well in a team approach to provide quality care to complex neurologic patients. 1 year experience required.
