NEW GRADUATE LPN RESIDENT
About The Position
As part of a collaborative, dynamic, multidisciplinary team, the PCU LPN provides direct patient care, delegating those interventions which may be performed by others, and takes a lead role in maintaining a safe environment for the rendering of effective nursing care. Utilizing the nursing process, the LPN provides safe, effective, and compassionate care with a focus on restoring and promoting patient health and well-being, and partners with patients, families, and the care team in the planning and coordination of care. DEPT. SCOPE OF SERVICE: The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is an acuity adjustable unit providing care to a diverse patient population requiring medical-surgical and telemetry levels of care. In addition, we see higher level of care patients, including but not limited to those on BiPap, titratable drips, or with hemodynamic instability requiring more frequent interventions and monitoring. The PCU is a 24/7/365 service with 25 beds. The team includes hospital medicine, care management, physical therapy and respiratory collaborating together to provide the best patient care possible.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed by the State of Vermont required or compact license required.
- BLS Certification.
- ACLS Certification (within 6 months of employment).
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Computer skills and electronic charting experience
