About The Position

Reports to Operations Manager or Team Leader, the LPN provides clinical support to the physician and mid-level providers. The LPN provides instructions to patients as directed by the providers. The LPN is also responsible for compliance with all OSHA/CLIA and HIPAA regulations, and ensuring completion of all duties vital to business operations. EDUCATION: Minimum: Graduate of accredited nursing program. YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 6 months to 1-year experience preferred.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited nursing program.
  • Compact LPN license.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint ability to learn other computer skills.
  • Must have good organizational skills and work professionally with doctors, hospital administration and management, SEP employees and the public.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team-based decision-making culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently resulting in effective outcomes and on-time performance.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating multi-disciplinary communications strategies, strategic initiatives, and events.
  • Must respond and follow through to requests from customers promptly.
  • Must work carefully and precisely with attention to detail.
  • Must utilize resources wisely.
  • Performs duties willingly and with initiative. Shares necessary information so co-workers can do the same.
  • Cooperates with other departments and work groups.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months to 1-year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and uphold SEP's Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide patient care by giving clear direction to the patient, address patient concerns about the exam. Document appropriately in patient chart.
  • Ensure completion of all forms vital to the revenue cycle (i.e. verification/clarification of orders, waivers for non- covered services, encounter form)
  • Provide instructions to patient under direction of the provider(s).
  • Ensure complete and accurate information in patient chart.
  • Maintain adequate level of supplies in exam rooms and workstation.
  • Clean and disinfect exam rooms.
  • Perform cleaning, maintenance, and/or sterilization of equipment and instruments. Report malfunction of equipment to appropriate supervisor.
  • OSHA, CLIA and HIPAA compliance.
  • Assist with completion of patient requests.
  • Completion of referral process/outpatient test scheduling, and precertification.
  • Timely and accurate filing/distribution of all patient information.
  • Interact with Central Billing Office as needed to resolve patient issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
