About The Position

Provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner or health professional. Works within their full scope of practice and ensures that high quality and safety is consistently delivered. Reviews and prepares patient charts prior to patient appointment. Performs various duties related to the patient appointment and medical record, such as vital signs, problems, medications, pharmacy and health history. Able to act as a liaison between patients, providers, office staff and outside contacts. Ensures smooth provider work-flow, solving problems and notifying staff and patients of provider delays. Capable of collecting samples from patients. Cleans and restocks rooms. Prepares patients as required. Capable of anticipating both provider and patient needs. Assists other staff with insurance authorizations, scheduling tests and surgeries. Adheres to practice policies and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • NYS licensed/registered LPN.
  • Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an outpatient medical office preferred.
  • Women's Health a plus but not necessary.
