About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs duties as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act. This role involves contributing to the development and execution of a plan of care for selected patients, administering medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy, and maintaining exam rooms and the overall work environment. Key responsibilities also include documenting nursing care and activities, assisting with direct patient care, monitoring patients during procedures, and providing support in the training of other staff. Additionally, the LPN assists departmental assistants with various clinical matters.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

At least 1-2 year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care.
Experience in office clerical activities.
