About The Position

Provide licensed practical nursing support to cardiovascular physicians and medical staff in a clinical setting Deliver direct patient care including triage, assessments, documentation, and follow-up coordination Support daily clinic operations while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and high standards of patient care Assist with diagnostic testing, patient education, and specialized cardiovascular procedures Maintain accurate electronic and paper medical records in accordance with compliance and HIPAA standards

Requirements

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Louisiana
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred)
  • Strong clinical assessment and triage skills
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment
  • Excellent communication skills with physicians, patients, families, and staff
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to compliance, accuracy, and patient confidentiality
  • Team-oriented mindset with a professional and positive attitude

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care aligned with clinic standards
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation to support coding, compliance, and quality initiatives
  • Promote smooth patient flow through effective communication and coordination with providers and departments
  • Support patient education to improve understanding of cardiovascular procedures and treatment plans
  • Maintain clinic readiness through equipment checks, supply management, and regulatory compliance tasks
  • Foster a professional and cooperative team environment focused on optimal patient outcomes
