JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24 Work Shift: 7am-7pm; Part-time Summary of the Job: The LPN UA position is responsible for supporting inpatient nursing care units under the direction of the registered nurse (RN)
Requirements
- Current Louisiana LPN Licensure
- current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
- Intravenous (IV) Therapy certification required.
- Additional certification requirements vary by department.
- Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills required.
- Must have typing and computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and be able to perform detail oriented tasks.
- Ability to meet weekend and holiday requirements.
Nice To Haves
- One year med/surg experience preferred.
