About The Position
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work under supervision to assist the Resident Physician with patient care and procedures. The LPN will prepare patients for clinic visits and work with the Resident Physician in the clinic to maintain a timely flow of patients. The primary responsibility of the LPN is to assist patients to rooms, triage patients, gather medical and health history, chief complaints, and enter all information in the EMR related to the visit. The LPN will assist the physician with tests and procedures, administer medications and vaccines, disseminate educational materials, assess incoming patients, clean and stock exam rooms and supply room areas, keep medical supply inventory, and provide direct patient care under the supervision of the physician. The LPN will also work with Care Managers to best serve the needs of the patients. This position must be able to perform all duties of the Licensed Practical Nurse and perform other duties to support patient care activities as needed.
