About The Position

The LPN at New England Village is responsible for providing essential healthcare services to residents, including monitoring medical status, coordinating medical services, and ensuring a safe healthcare environment. This role involves direct nursing care, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and maintaining accurate medical documentation.

Requirements

• Valid license/certification as an LPN in the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
• Over 1 year and up to and including 3 years of progressive learning experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to NEV residents.
• Serve as contact with staff, residents, families, and physicians concerning medical/nursing related issues.
• Member of the multi-disciplinary team to provide continuous assessment and care of resident medical issues.
• Arrange for and accompany residents as necessary to appointments with healthcare professionals.
• Provide medical status for residents' annual physicals.
• Ensure safe and proper storage of medications in each house and conduct periodic reviews including documentation requirements.
• Review medication sheets and maintain them in an up-to-date manner.
• Complete required documentation and necessary records, files, and documents.
• Provide nursing care at other NEV programs as necessary.
