Day in the Life As an LPN, Staff Nurse at Home of the Innocents, you’ll provide high-quality medical care to children and young adults with diverse needs in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. You’ll play a vital role in delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring resident progress, and ensuring both the physical and emotional well-being of the children entrusted to our care. Schedule Options Self-Scheduling – Create your own schedule to support your work/life balance Night Shifts: 7 PM – 7 AM Full-Time - 30 or 36 hours per week Weekend shifts/rotation required How This Position Contributes to Our Mission Deliver compassionate nursing care to children with complex medical needs, ensuring their health, safety, and comfort. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans. Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care, with training available for those new to this area. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Foster a nurturing, trauma-informed environment that supports the growth and healing of residents. Educate residents and families on managing medical conditions to encourage long-term health outcomes.

Requirements

  • Active, unencumbered LPN license in the State of Kentucky
  • CPR/BLS certification required, will be provided, if necessary
  • Willingness to learn vents, trachs, and medically complex care
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for working with children and families
  • Commitment to trauma-informed care and collaborative teamwork

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or long-term care preferred but not required
