About The Position

The position involves identifying and evaluating patient needs through telephone triage, administering medications including injections, and documenting medication given or prescribed by the ordering physician as required by specialty. The role also includes identifying patient and family education needs and providing necessary instruction. The nurse is expected to acquire additional credentials or licenses pertinent to the specialty and adhere to nursing policies and procedures when documenting information in the patient’s medical record. Additionally, the nurse facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office and recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license.
• Additional credentials/licenses pertinent to the specialty.
• One-year experience in a health care facility.
• CPR certification within 3 months of employment.
• For Xpress Care LPNS only, IV certification required within 3 months of hire/transfer.
