The ideal candidate needs to be an LPN or a Registered Nurse. The role involves providing basic medical and nursing care such as checking blood pressure and inserting catheters, ensuring the comfort of patients, discussing health care with patients, and reporting the status of patients to registered nurses and providers.

  • Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
  • Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required by specialty.
  • Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
  • Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information in patient’s medical record.
  • Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing for LPN.
  • Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse is preferred.
  • 1 Year experience in primary care setting for LPN.
  • Current BLS certification or to be completed within three months of employment for LPN.
  • Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse for RN.
  • Two or more years of comprehensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings for RN.
  • BSN degree preferred for RN.
  • Current BLS certification or to be completed within three months of employment for RN.
  • Current ACLS/PALS certification or to be completed within 3 months of employment for RN.
  • Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • BSN degree preferred for Registered Nurse.
