About The Position

The LPN Senior Care Unit Nights PRN position at National Park Medical Center involves providing nursing care to inpatients, interpreting physician orders, and administering medications and intravenous solutions in compliance with legal standards. The role also includes auditing patient charts and contributing to Performance Improvement programs to meet accreditation standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college with a current valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Arkansas.
  • Previous hospital experience in medical, surgical, orthopedic, oncology, or renal care preferred, but beginning practitioners will be considered.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write grammatically correct English.
  • Capability to sit and stand for long periods, walk or run medium distances, and climb stairs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret physician's written orders and dispense medications and intravenous solutions for inpatients.
  • Audit charts and gather information for Performance Improvement programs.
  • Provide daily assignments and make rounds with Physicians.
  • Assume responsibilities of the RN Charge Nurse in their absence.
