About The Position

The LPN School Health position at Rushwood Elementary provides essential school health services under the direction of the School Health Services Clinical Coordinator (Registered Nurse). This role is focused on delivering clinical care, maintaining health records, and ensuring the well-being of students while collaborating with parents and school authorities.

Requirements

• Experience as an LPN is required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in healthcare is required.
• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Certification: Licensed Practical Nurse licensure is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a school setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides school health services as directed by Registered Nurse and contracts.
• Maintains appropriate student health records and documents services rendered.
• Provides the clinical care necessary within the department, including routine, special needs and emergency first aide.
• Communicates with parents/guardians, school authorities, and allied professionals.
• Participates in the educational efforts of the department and the hospital.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age and developmental status.
• Other duties as required.
