About The Position

Christie Clinic's department in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics is seeking a full-time LPN or RN at the Medical Hills clinic in Bloomington from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements. Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Job Qualifications and Expectations

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Evidence of annual completion of health-related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s
Valid state license to practice nursing
CPR Certification

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications, treatments and injections in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.
Instruct patients regarding the collection of samples and tests.
Arrange for patient testing.
Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.
Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.
Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.
Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.
Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment to ensure patients with emergency situations are given priority and documenting appropriately.
Oversee patient scheduling to ensure patients in emergency situations are given priority.
Send prescription refills in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.
Obtain prior authorizations for medications, testing, procedures, equipment, etc.
Maintain work list from provider and follow up on labs, tests, reports, etc.
Attend and participate in departmental huddles and any other meetings as necessary.
Perform related work as required.
