We do hire new graduates at Walden Pyramid Healthcare in MD. Shift differential is given. Work as a team member with other nurses, providers, and other caring professionals. Be a multitasker, decisive, with excellent problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills. Communicate with other disciplines to ensure client needs are being met, and be involved in chart monitoring—identify and carry out action plans. Review and follow detox protocols. Assist staff during high-volume shifts, prioritizing and organizing the shift, and completing the unit scheduling. Orientation of new nurses as needed. Maintain medical equipment. Conduct medical lectures for clients as needed. Administer medications and complete MAR. Complete labs necessary for treatment (HCG, urine, BAC, glucometer). Administer IM and SQ medications and Narcan as needed. Ensure labs are being addressed, reviewed, and obtaining and transcribing physician orders. Follow proper consent procedures. Be involved in Performance Improvement Projects. Maintain staff development needs and ensure records are up to date. Complete nursing competency and evaluation. Follow Evidence-Based Practice guidelines. Continued nursing training and monthly meetings to increase professional development. Conduct nursing assessments, treatment plans, medication administration, vitals, follow detox protocols and other medical protocols, along with assisting medical providers as needed.
