The Licensed Practical Nurse plays a critical role in the delivery of quality medical care within the center. This position requires a person with strong clinical skills along with assessment and communication skills. The Licensed Practical Nurse provides care as described by the established policies and procedures of RCCHC. This position will provide clinical care in collaboration with other partnerships to achieve positive patient outcomes. The Licensed Practical Nurse will model behaviors consistent with the published values and the Code of Conduct of RCCHC. The Registered Nurse is a point of triage for emergent or ‘walk in’ patients, or telephoning patients. Coordinates flow of patients in provider suite based on established and walk in patient schedules. Systematically collects patient data and communicates to provider to establish plan of care. Delivers patient care and performs treatments and procedures in accordance with the agency’s established policy and procedures. Initiates and participates in patient teaching. Demonstrates sound clinical judgment. Communicates effectively, presenting positive and professional image in all interactions. Demonstrates a commitment to Roanoke Chowan Community Health center’s Mission and Vision. Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing self-development and quality improvement. Maintains a clean and safe environment. Participates in achievement of organizational goals. Some extended hours may be required for evening clinics and weekend.
