About The Position

Christie Clinic's department of Family Medicine in Mahomet is seeking a full-time LPN or RN from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements. Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Job Qualifications and Expectations

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s
Possession of an Illinois State RN or LPN License
CPR Certification

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.
Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.
Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.
Arrange for patient testing and admission.
Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.
Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.
Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment to ensure patients with emergency situations are given priority, and documenting appropriately.
Attend and participate in departmental huddles.
Obtain work list from provider and follow up on labs, tests, reports, etc.
Administer injections.
Send prescription refills.
Obtain prior authorizations for medications, testing, procedures, etc.
Administer IV therapy and push IV medications
Post tests and examination results to portal as directed by provider.
Perform related work as required.
