The position involves directing nursing care for patients and supervising the daily activities of nursing assistants in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role requires collaboration with the Administrator, Medical Director, and Director of Nursing Services to ensure appropriate patient care.

  • Direct nursing care for patients and supervise nursing assistants.
  • Operate oxygen equipment and suction machines.
  • Administer medications and document their delivery.
  • Perform patient assessments and chart progress.
  • Coordinate care planning and participate in patient screening.
  • Maintain effective communication with physicians and nursing staff.
  • Assist in the training and education of nursing assistants.
  • Conduct performance improvement and quality assurance activities.
  • Participate in nursing center surveys and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and corporate compliance programs.
  • Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or graduate of an approved LPN program.
  • Current LPN License in the State of Georgia.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS/CPR certification.
  • Preferred experience in nursing administration.
