Directs nursing care for the patients, and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision should be in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations governing our nursing center, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and/or the Director of Nursing Services to provide the appropriate care for our patients.

  • Direct nursing care for patients.
  • Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Report to the Director of Nursing Services.
  • Make nursing assistant work assignments.
  • Participate in patient screening and selection process.
  • Administer medications and document accordingly.
  • Maintain effective communication with attending physicians.
  • Assist in the interviewing, screening, and selection of associates.
  • Conduct performance improvement/quality assurance activities.
  • Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or graduate of an approved LPN program.
  • Current LPN License in the State of Georgia.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS/CPR certification.
  • Preferred experience in nursing administration.
