About The Position

The LPN position is a weekend shift role, requiring work from 7 PM to 7 AM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The primary responsibility is to provide direct patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN will assist in the orientation and training of new staff and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient care needs. All duties should be performed under the direction of the RN on the unit or the Nurse Manager of the unit, in accordance with the Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse Rules. This position requires working every weekend, specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing.
• Currently licensed as an LPN or RN by the state of Georgia.
• Current Active Georgia License for LPN or RN.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Preferred certifications include ACLS and PALS.
• Up to 1 year of job-related experience required; 2 to 5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN.
• Assist in new staff orientation and training.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient care needs.
• Perform duties in accordance with Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse Rules.
