About Pulmonology: Pulmonology is the specialty area of medicine that focuses specifically on the pulmonary system. The pulmonary system, also sometimes called the respiratory system, consists of the lungs, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, associated blood vessels, and all other components involved in and directly related to breathing and the process of respiration (gas exchange). About The Career: The position of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) focuses on providing direct patient care. The LPN will be responsible for rooming the patients daily, to include manual blood pressures, O2, weight, heart rate. Attention to detail is of the upmost importance for medication reconciliation. The LPN will also be responsible for obtaining test results and with collaboration of the provider, generating orders or phone calls to the patient.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate LPN nursing program, with current or pending Colorado nursing license
  • Computer skills and working with electronic medical records
  • BCLS required on hire

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in clinic setting is preferred but will train
  • Knowledge of basic ECG strips helpful

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients daily, including manual blood pressures, O2, weight, heart rate
  • Medication reconciliation
  • Obtaining test results
  • Generating orders or phone calls to the patient (with collaboration of the provider)
